Tal

I've been in B'nei Dror for the last couple days with some family. They introduced me to Tal, who isn't a blood relative, but from the time we've spent together, I don't know how that's possible. It's great to be with someone close to my age and who has so many of my same interests. The last couple days have been a blast. Thanks for everything!

Haifa

I went to Haifa, a northern coastal city in Israel, to be with my mom's first cousin. She took me to Rosh HaNikra, which are caves made by the ocean right on the Lebanese border, and also to the beach near her house in Kiryat Yam, a neighborhood on the north side of the city.

Shuk ha Pish Pishim

We stopped at this flea market in Yafo (Jaffa) on our way back from Modi'in.

Modi'in

Modi'in is a new city (barely 15 years old) not far from Jerusalem. I went with my mom's first cousin to visit her daughter, who owns a flower shop there, and her family.

Gali Graduates

Ze'ev's granddaughter, Gali, graduated from 'kitah vav' (sixth grade), and she and her class had a ceremony where they each received a tanach (bible) and put on a show. I didn't understand the whole thing, but it was cute.

We went out for 'gleda' (ice cream) afterwards to celebrate.

Kibbutz Merchavya

This is where I stay with my grandma's first cousin and his wife when I come to Afula.

Summer Cleaning

My mom and I tried to help my grandma clean out her apartment so she can get ready to move to the U.S. We were somewhat successful, but there is still a long way to go...
